| For foreign university sponsorship programs, sponsored students are required to complete a 18-24 month pre-university program (A-Levels / International Baccalaureate) in Malaysia and must obtain outstanding results to qualify for entry into a foreign university.
Whereas students pursuing foreign university sponsorship programs in a Malaysian branch campus are required to complete a 12-18 month Foundation Program in the campus before advancing to undergraduate studies. |

For students who are studying in Malaysian public universities, while at the same time pursuing undergraduate courses in Engineering, Applied Science, Accountancy, Economics and Information Technology.

- Application is based on online application, can be done at PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Online Application, mostly will be opened soon after the releasing of SPM results, for a specific time period only.
- Visiting to PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Webpages is strongly encouraged, so that to acknowledge the latest information such as up-to-date eligible criteria, sponsored programs and the opening/closing date of online application.
- Shortlisted candidates will be required to participate in the PETRONAS EduQuest Camp for final selection.
